Nakheel is a Dubai master developer and a member of Dubai Holding, which absorbed the company in March 2024 under a directive from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The business started out as Dubai Palm Developers and began construction of Palm Jumeirah in June 2001, with the island’s first residents moving in from 2007. Today it sits within Dubai Holding Real Estate alongside Meraas and Dubai Properties.
