Dubai Maritime City (DMC) is a purpose-built maritime and business district located on a man-made peninsula between Port Rashid and Dubai Drydocks World. Developed by DP World in collaboration with Khatib & Alami, the area is designed to serve as a global hub for maritime commerce, trade, logistics, and offshore industries. The district is divided into a Commercial Zone, featuring offices, residences, retail, and hospitality, and an Industrial Precinct dedicated to ship repair, marine services, workshops, warehouses, and dry docks.
A key highlight of Dubai Maritime City is its focus on sustainability, with the development expected to receive eco-building certification upon completion—making it one of the world’s first environmentally responsible maritime centres. The heart of the district is the Maritime Centre, offering waterfront plots for high-rise residential towers, offices, and luxury hotels. Additional zones include the Marina District, Harbour Residences, Harbour Offices, and the Academic Quarter, which will host marine engineering and maritime education institutions for up to 1,300 students. With completed infrastructure works and ongoing development, Dubai Maritime City is set to strengthen Dubai’s position as the leading maritime and commercial hub in the region.
